Is your business ready for the phone switch‑off?
Openreach retires the old analogue phone network on 31 January 2027. Phones, alarms, lift lines and card machines still plugged into a phone line need to move before then.
Business lines won't get the temporary fallback that home lines get, so anything left on the old network risks going quiet.
The ring shows the time left in the final year.
What's still on a phone line?
It isn't just phones. Tick everything your business has that plugs into a phone socket or uses a phone line, and we'll show you what each one needs.
Straight answers, before you commit
You can usually keep your numbers
Existing business numbers can normally be transferred to a new phone system, so customers keep calling the numbers they know. We'll confirm yours before you sign.
What it costs
We price it after a short review, so you only pay for what you need. If a simple line change is all it takes, we'll tell you, and there's no obligation.
Who you're dealing with
An IT and communications consultancy based in Chesham, Buckinghamshire, not a call centre. We plan the move, set it up and you can call us at any point.
Don't leave it to January
Moving phones isn't hard, but it takes planning. Number transfers, new broadband and the other devices on your line all have lead times, and installers get busier the closer the deadline gets.

Questions businesses ask
Does this affect us if we already have broadband?
If your phones or any of your devices still plug into the phone socket and use an analogue or ISDN line, yes. If you already use internet phones on full fibre or broadband without a phone line, you may already be sorted, and we can check for you.
What happens if we do nothing?
Openreach is retiring the analogue network on 31 January 2027. Business lines won't get the temporary fallback that home lines get, so phones and devices still on the old network risk losing service.
Can we keep our phone numbers?
Usually, yes. Existing numbers can normally be transferred to the new system. We'll confirm before you commit.
Do we need new phones?
Not always. Depending on what you have, existing handsets can sometimes be kept, but many businesses use the move to switch to new desk phones, headsets or a mobile app. We'll explain the options.
How long does it take?
It depends on how many lines and numbers you have and what else is on them. A small office can often move in a few weeks, but number transfers and broadband orders take time, so start well before January.
What will it cost?
We'll give you a clear price after a short review, with no obligation. You only pay for what you need.
What if something goes wrong?
Tell us first and we'll do our best to put it right. Our complaints code explains how we handle complaints and the independent dispute resolution available for phone and broadband services.
